In Our Backyard

One of the spectacular attributes of Oviedo is that pro-racing often comes to Asturias, and when it does, it frequently comes near Oviedo – the capital. So, at the end of the day, you can roll on over to the race as ambitiously as you’d like. In our case, me having had a huge day riding the day before, followed by a full plate of work, that meant the day’s profile looked like this:


We managed to find a nice hairpin corner that provided a good opportunity for some close up shots of pro cornering while we could sit on the terraza and enjoy some recovery drinks.

And with that, they were off to a killer finish up the typically Asturian Ermita de Alba climb.
