Science has made clear that the extraction of and over-dependence on petroleum are destabilizing the ecological systems that sustain life on our planet. As fuel, plastics, textiles, chemicals, and emissions, petroleum has permeated nearly every aspect of modern life. We believe the future depends on moving beyond that dependence and toward products, infrastructure, and communities designed in harmony with nature and centered on human and environmental health.
We believe in craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and objects that are made right. Independent small businesses create good jobs, preserve skills, strengthen local economies, and foster lasting relationships between people, their communities, and the objects with which they move through the world.

01 MADE RIGHT, IN STUDIO
Every garment is made in our own studio, giving you more options for your kit - from personalized fit adjustments to custom embroidery and finishes. Because we make everything ourselves, your gear is crafted by individuals who take pride in every piece they produce. And while our machines often run “head down and hammer”, they do in a safe, healthy and equitable worker-led environment.
02 ON-DEMAND, DIRECT TO YOU
Your garment is made when you order it, not booked years in advance into overseas production schedules and speculative trend-casting. Our intentional production model doesn’t just facilitate customizable products; it reduces waste, shipping, and the carbon impact of each piece. Instead of mass-producing “inventory” of the cheapest finished garments possible, we stock the highest-quality materials and create each piece on demand, uniquely for you.
03 FOR A POST-PETROLEUM AGE
Our products are built from high-performance, innovative natural textiles like merino wool, all-weather cotton, and other bio-based fibers, chosen over conventional fossil-fuel-based synthetics. By prioritizing natural fibers, eliminating PFAs and parabens, reducing reliance on poly-synthetics, and avoiding harsh chemical finishes and dyes, we create gear that is healthier to wear, breaks the petroleum-dependency chain, and leaves behind less microplastic pollution and chemical waste.
04 FROM EU RAW MATERIAL SUPPLY
Our textiles and raw materials come from trusted mills within the European Union, helping reduce unnecessary shipping and long-distance logistics. Combined with our in-studio production, this can reduce the carbon impact of each garment by as much as 65%. For you, that means cleaner sourcing, reliable quality, and materials produced under some of the world’s strongest environmental and worker protection standards.

Sportswear design begins with choosing where our textiles originate: From Nature? or from Fossil Fuels? Natural materials are renewable, their carbon is biogenic (this matters), and humans have used these resources sustainably for tens of thousands of years. Fossil Fuels? None of the above. As well as many additional problems.

2. Energy Use
Once we’ve chosen the base resource for our textile, it needs to be turned into yarn before it can be knit into fabric. Merino wool requires significantly less energy to produce yarn from source than many fibers commonly used in sportswear.

3. Biodegradability
Not only at end of life, but when you wash your clothes, textile fibers are lost into nature. Petroleum-based synthetic textiles are released as microplastics. What % are biodegradable and do not bio-accumulate as pollution?
