> Using garments made from 190gsm Lightweight Merino
This is your go-to, year-round textile. Whether it’s the tight fit of the road jerseys or looser and casual with the tees, you get all the benefits of merino in garments with a recommended temperature range of 18ºC-35ºC (65F-95F) in a single layer, or 10ºC-21ºC (50F-70F) with two layers. The different garments are perfect for fast road and gravel rides, casual bikepacking, or ultra long distance travels or randonneurs thanks to the multi-day all conditions comfort and odour resistance.
> Caring for garments made from 190gsm Lightweight Merino
The 190gsm garments are easy care, but they are not zero care. They can be washed on cold in a front-loading washing machine, they stay true-to-size, they dry quickly and can be line dried. Never use fabric softener or harsh bio/enzyme detergents. Never use a dryer. Due to the fineness of the wool, repairing is a little more difficult than the 285 but still very possible to prolong the life of the garment in the case of a crash. We always recommend checking and using the garment regularly and storing the garments in a sealed container if not using them for longer periods of time. For more information, please, refer to our
Care Guide.

Our midweight thermal 100% wool is used in all our bib/short bottoms and our thermal layers. This is a highly insulating, yet incredibly air permeable interlock textile which maintains a stable core temperature keeping you comfortable while preventing over-heating by permitting high airflow. Made by a small, family-owned mill in the Alps, this textile has been keeping adventurers warm and protected for generations. The 100% natural wool interlock is perfect for cycling, providing abundant stretch while maintaining mechanical compression and high recovery eliminating elastane without sag.

> Using garments made from 285gsm Thermal Midweight Wool
With the bibs and shorts, you’re good to go, all year round, natural comfort and performance. For jerseys, warmers and jackets we use this textile for thermal, or insulating applications when the temperature gets colder. Although the wool is not as fine as the 190gsm textile, it softens with washing and wear, and you can use these garments next to skin on cooler vintage or heritage rides to 25C (77F). For maximum comfort and utility, we design these to be layered over a 190gsm base layer or jersey in conditions 5ºC-15ºC (41F-70F) and to 0ºC – 10ºC (32F-50F) over two layers of 190 garments. The textile is highly air/wind permeable, excelling at stabilizing core temperature due to the stable air trapping in the massive surface area of the wool fibers. However, in cold conditions with high winds or descent speeds you will want to have a windproof shell for use if the conditions demand.
> Caring for garments made from 285gsm Thermal Midweight Wool
The 285gsm garments require attention to detail with care. Due to the thickness and construction of the wool the jerseys and jackets can and have lasted a decade without problems. The wool is sometimes piece dyed and sometimes yarn dyed which can result in a variation in feel when new. They will always soften with washing and wear. For maximum longevity, 285gsm garments should be handwashed in cold water, only when needed, squeezed out and line dried. If you choose to machine wash, it must be in a front loading machine, it must be cold water and it must use the minimum agitation/spin. Ideally washed alone or with similar garments with no velcro or snagging components. Never use fabric softener or harsh bio/enzyme detergents. Never use a dryer. The 285gsm wool will tighten and loosen slightly with use like a pair of jeans. In use, the wool should be exposed to minimal friction and abrasion which is particularly important for bibs/shorts and the surface finish of the saddle. Repairs are easy and should be tended to as soon as needed. We always recommend checking and using the garment regularly and storing the garments in a sealed container if not using them for longer periods of time. For more information, please, refer to our

Used even today by the English and Swedish army, Ventile® is made from the finest extra-long staple cotton into the world’s densest cotton fabric. The result, a 100% cotton garment that breathes like a dress shirt, yet is windproof and water resistant while needing no harmful EPTFE membranes, PFCs or unbreathable waxes. This textile is unrivaled for an outer shell made from natural fibers which excels in the highly aerobic conditions of cycling.

> Using Garments made from Ventile® Cotton
Ventile® is a critical, wind-proof and water-resistant shell layer that prevents over-cooling in wool garments by blocking the wind. Thanks to the extreme density of the cotton weave the textile remains wind-proof preventing the normally beneficial high air-permeability of wool from reaching a problematic tipping point where the wool is overcome by airflow and can no longer keep you at a stable core temp. Conversely, because Ventile® is a single layer of natural cotton it breathes far better than other shell textiles, especially better than those with windblocking membranes, so you drastically reduce any chance of overheating and oversweating as the garment traps significantly less heat inside than other garments. Ventile® garments have no stretch and are patterned to fit.
> Caring for Ventile® Cotton Products
Ventile® garments are very durable. However, there are special considerations: Wash only as needed. Any mud or dirt that may spray onto the garment should be shaken off when wet (do not wipe it into the garment) and what remains allowed to dry and then immediately and gently brushed and sponged off. Ventile® can be handwashed or machine washed in cold water. Never use fabric softener or harsh bio/enzyme detergents. Ventile® will shrink only very slightly (approx. 3%) after the first wash if proper instructions are followed. Line dry out of direct/harsh sunlight. The PFC/PFA-free DWR coating will wear off abrasion areas with time and water will no longer bead up and will soak into the surface – this is fine. Ventile® is designed to swell to prevent water ingress but the garment itself will get saturated and get soaked without DWR. If you want to restore the DWR you can use a spray on DWR and iron it into the garment on a warm heat. Repairing Ventile® is as simple as a patch of textile to cover the damage.

We selectively and minimally use recycled polyamide in areas of high abrasion, like in the seat of bibs and shorts, while minimizing any dependence on virgin petroleum. Although our designs focus on prioritizing merino for natural performance and core comfort in all but absolutely critical areas, our supplying Italian mill designed and developed this recycled textile for use in highly optimized aerodynamic skinsuits for elite road and gravel competition.
STOCK RECYCLED POLY COLOURS
> Using garments with Recycled Polyamide panels
This textile is used minimally in select bibs and shorts to enhance durability in the seat panels as many saddles now feature grippy, textured or abrasive surfaces. Or for use in conditions that do the same (sand, mud etc).
As this textile is designed and milled to be highly aerodynamic we also use this textile in the seamless leading edge sleeves and shoulder yoke of the Simbiosis aero jersey for those watt-watching, speed-freaks who just can’t say no to a little more fast. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
> Caring for garments with Recycled Polyamide panels
The garments made using our recycled polyamide require the same care as dictated by the merino wool garment it is sewn to. There are no extra considerations specific to the polyamide itself. Repairing this textile, like all stretch polyesters or polyamides, is challenging as the stretch needs to be maintained. There are some iron on patches that may work provided the iron temperature stays below the 160C melting temperature of elastane.
